Tutoring
Math Lab
The Math Lab is available during some study hall periods for help in all math subjects. Math teachers and several math tutors are available to help with homework, studying for quizzes, and preparing for tests. See your math teacher or counselor for more information about the Math Lab.
Writing Center
The Writing Center is available during some study hall periods, and students who have questions about a writing assignment are urged to visit the Writing Center and work with trained student tutors. Students can get help with large or small papers or writing assignments as many teachers provide the student-tutors with assignment rubrics.
Peer Tutoring
Ben Franklin students can sign up to tutor other students or find a peer tutor by creating an account at

bfhsla.peerkonnect.org. Only students with a Franklin email address have access to log in to this website. School counselors at Ben Franklin can help students select the best-fit tutor and find a time to meet while on campus.
After School Program
Each afternoon from 3:45pm to 5:30pm, we offer a monitored study environment for students who want or need to stay late at school. This program takes place in the school’s cafeteria. Computers are readily available.
