Benjamin Franklin High School

College Counseling
Our Program

Benjamin Franklin High School offers a comprehensive College Counseling program designed to help students identify colleges that fit their interests, abilities, skills, and values. Our program is based on the beliefs that: a) the college choice is a process which requires well-honed research and decision-making skills, and b) the college choice should be geared to the individual, and student and college should be appropriately matched.

To accomplish these goals, we offer a range of large and small group, as well as individual meetings to help students and their families make informed, well-reasoned college choices, and we encourage students and parents to take advantage of these opportunities.

Our Parents Speak

"The BFHS College and Academic Counseling Office has been invaluable in supporting our son's college goals. The office and counselors helped us deal with the stressful time of college applications. Our first time navigating the financial aid process was also made easier by the information sessions that the office provided to parents. The counselors played an important role in our son achieving his goals for admission into college. "
