Mission
The Benjamin Franklin High School Athletic Association (BFAA) was created to enhance and improve the school’s athletic programs and activities by raising funds and by sponsoring programs and activities that support all Falcon athletes. As a Booster Club, BFAA provides volunteer resources and raises money to support the needs of the overall sports program and individual teams and to honor student-athletes in various ways, including but not limited to: purchasing equipment; providing resources for capital projects related to the sports program; providing travel expenses for post-season competition; hosting and providing awards for two Athletic Awards Ceremonies; and purchasing team championship recognition banners.
BFAA Supports BFHS Athletes
The monies raised by BFAA go to support Falcon athletics in a variety of ways, including:
Athletic Awards
The BFAA hosts the school’s Athletic Awards Ceremonies to recognize and honor student athletes of all levels: Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity. During the ceremonies, coaches present trophies and distribute sport pins for varsity participation. Light refreshments are served. Check the school calendar for which sports are honored at each ceremony and for more information.
Financial Assistance
BFAA pays for team buses to all away playoff games, and provides free admission for BFHS students to attend all home playoff games. BFAA also pays athletic participation fees for students in need.

Fundraising
BFAA is able to support Franklin athletics by collecting membership dues and other fundraising activities.
Fundraising Events
Our two major fundraisers are:
  • A Holiday Cash Raffle in the fall
  • Falcon Feast, a festive dinner and silent auction in the spring.
In addition, BFAA supports our athletes by conducting fundraising activities at homecoming and selling Franklin-themed merchandise at various school events throughout the year. For more details about each event, along with opportunities to volunteer, join BFAA and see how you can help.
Ben’s Books (school store)
As a service to the Falcon community, the BFAA runs Ben’s Books. There students can purchase Falcon gear along with snacks and official Benjamin Franklin merchandise. Ben’s Books is located in the Atrium stairwell entrance near the front office and Admissions and is open during the school’s lunch period.
Join BFAA!
You can help Franklin Athletics by joining the BFAA! Annual dues are $30 and are tax deductible! Becoming a member gives you a voice in how the BFAA raises money and allocates those funds. To be a part of those decisions, come to our monthly membership meetings – usually the third Monday of the month at 5:30 pm in the school library (check the school calendar to confirm). In addition to membership, your help is needed to help expand BFAA’s ability to support our athletes, so please consider volunteering your time, energy, or expertise, or making a donation.
